Our Mission
At 2:20 Biblical Counseling, our mission is to glorify God by providing Christ-centered, Scripture-based counseling that leads people toward lasting hope, spiritual maturity, and faithful living through the transforming power of Jesus Christ.
We believe that God’s Word is sufficient to address the deepest needs of the human heart and that genuine change comes through the Gospel, the work of the Holy Spirit, and faithful obedience to Scripture.
My Story
For more than 38 years, God has graciously allowed me to serve in Christian ministry. When I was 18 years old, I witnessed a young woman lose her life in a tragic automobile accident. That moment profoundly shaped my life. It impressed on me the brevity of life and planted a lasting burden to help people find hope, truth, and direction in Jesus Christ.
Since that day, year after year, I’ve devoted my life to serving others through ministry, seeking to walk with people in their struggles and point them to the enduring hope found in Christ.
Education and Training
My preparation for ministry includes a Master of Divinity in Biblical Leadership from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
I’ve also completed certification in biblical counseling through the Association of Biblical Counselors, further equipping me to provide practical, Christ-centered counseling rooted in the authority and sufficiency of Scripture.
Our Counseling Philosophy
Every person is created in the image of God and possesses immeasurable worth and dignity.
Because of that, every counseling relationship is built upon grace, compassion, biblical truth, and careful listening. Rather than simply addressing outward behaviors, biblical counseling seeks to understand the heart, apply the wisdom of Scripture, and encourage lasting transformation through a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
Whether the struggle involves marriage, family, grief, anxiety, addiction, conflict, or spiritual discouragement, our desire is to faithfully point people to the hope that is found in Christ alone.
Why “2:20”?
The name “2:20” comes from Galatians 2:20:
“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
This verse reminds us that lasting change is not produced by human effort alone but through a life surrendered to Christ and empowered by His grace.
It is this biblical truth that shapes every counseling conversation and every ministry opportunity.
